Welcome back to Champions Round!

Introducing Seven Stakes 🎉

Happy New Year’s to you and yours. May 2021 be a better year for all of us than 2020. In that spirit, Champions Round is excited to announced our newest product: Seven Stakes! Now available on Android and iOS!

Our first Seven Stakes contest will feature the NFL Playoffs, so if you love football, want to compete with friends and love to gamble, this fantasy game mode is just for you.

Here’s how it works: Create or join a league with friends. We will ask seven questions which have multiple right and wrong answers. These are the stakes! Make your choices, watch the results live, team with the highest score wins!

Here are the questions for the NFL Playoffs: Win the Super Bowl, Advance to the Super Bowl, Advance to the Conference Championship, Advance to the Divisional Round.

Then you will be asked to pick a Super Bowl MVP, a NFL Playoffs Game Prop and finally a NFL Playoffs Player Prop.

Download Champions Round for iOS

You will be awarded points based on the Odds we have set. For example: If you pick the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl and they win it you will earn 180 Points. If they don’t win, you will score zero. The goal, as always, is to earn the most points!

Download the Champions Round app and create a Seven Stakes league. You will be able to invite between 8–12 friends to play with you. Public leagues are also available. You must make your selections before January 9th.

One last thing: This game mode is available for BOTH iOS and Android!!!

Champions For A Cause 🏆

One last thing about our Seven Stakes game mode. We wanted to add in a charity component so here’s the deal: The LEAGUE that scores the most total points in our Seven Stakes contest will have a donation made by Champions Round to the charity of the league’s choosing. We will donate $1,000 in their names.

Yes, the goal is to beat your league mates. However, if you’re out of the running, you can still cheer on bets all the way through the Super Bowl. We’re all about crowning champions, but we can help uplift some folks along the way. That’s ultimately what we’re all about.

FSGA Championship Recap

Heading into Monday Night Football, we had a 47.5 point lead. Yahoo! Sports had Josh Allen and the Buffalo defense. I was so nervous that I couldn’t even watch the game. No, seriously. I didn’t watch one second of the game.

If we had managed the lineup properly we wouldn’t have had to sweat out Monday Night. We had a couple of tough RB decisions, which we navigated perfectly. However, we made a critical error at WR. We decided to go with Jalen Reagor over Michael Gallup. Lesson learned. Never, ever go with Jalen Reagor.

Anyways, I got updates for the first half via text and it was going poorly, so I went completely dark. Phone went on airplane mode, put on The Crown and walked away. I figured the game would end around 8:15 PM PST, so I decided I would check the news then. Except I got antsy. So I had my wife check the game time, but not tell me the score or any more information.

Then, somehow, my iPad ringer went off and I got the call. Matt Barkley was in for Josh Allen and we had TAKEN HOME THE CROWN!!!!!!!!!!

Champions Round won the FSGA title! Do I feel like a wimp for not watching? Nope. Not one bit. The title is ours!

Moments of Payne 👀

The Jets Defense needs to chill out. I went into Sunday with a big head, thinking Nick Chubb would have a field day.

Normally at this point in the season, teams like the Jets don’t have much to play for. Instead of resting everyone and giving new guys some reps, they came out playing as if they didn’t want the #1 pick for the upcoming draft. To make matters worse, all of the Browns receivers got ruled out for Covid, leaving their offense one dimensional.

Chubb faced a stacked boxed all day long, however, he still managed to find some daylight. Keyword being “some”. Not an abundance. He didn’t blow up like Alvin Kamara or Jeff Wilson Jr. That said, at the end of the day I don’t really blame Nick. I blame the damn Jets. And their unnecessarily selfish antics.

Final Thoughts 💭

It’s been an absolutely incredible fantasy season, even in the midst of a pandemic. This has probably been the toughest fantasy season to date, given all the moving parts you all have had to deal with.

Congrats to all of you that brought home a title!

We hope that you’re not done with football yet and will join us at Champions Round in our Seven Stakes game mode! If you’re in to the NFL Playoffs and gambling you’re sure to love this product!

Until then, stay well and enjoy Week 17!
