Ben Roethlisberger

We mentioned this on Wednesday, but I believe Roethlisberger to be a starter in many fantasy leagues this season. However, I don’t anticipate him having a big game against a formidable Washington defense with 11 days to prepare. The Steelers should have a conservative game plan focused on not turning the ball over. I would bench Big Ben for this one.

Logan Thomas

The Steelers have one of the best defenses in football and I don’t anticipate anyone outside of McLaurin or Gibson to have substantial fantasy days. That being said, if the Steelers double or bracket McLaurin, which they may do, then Thomas may be a viable option.

Props 🎲

  • Steelers win by 1–3, 4–6
  • Big Ben to throw a INT: Yes
  • Antonio Gibson over 2.5 receptions, over 15.5 receiving yards
  • J.D. McKissic 1st TD: +1400, over 2.5 receptions

Gambling Angle 💰

The Steelers are the NFL’s last undefeated team and clearly one of the two or three best teams in the entire league. However, this is a genuine let down spot and actually a game they could lose.

The Steelers played on Wednesday, meanwhile Washington hasn’t played since Thanksgiving. Moreover, Washington has a stout defense and a very good offense line, not to mention a great rookie RB in Antonio Gibson. The Steelers are actually pretty average against the run and are without their starting linebackers.

The Steelers should be able to move the ball through the air, but given Washington’s ability to get to the QB, I would expect at least one turnover from Big Ben. I would like to be on Washington, but not at 6.5. If you bet this number above 7, I think that’s a great number. I also think the over of 43.5 has some decent value. I will be playing both.

Official picks: Washington (+7 or better), over 43.5

Prediction: Steelers 23 — Football Team 20

WE”RE NOT DONE YET! MORE FOOTBALL!

Buffalo Bills at San Francisco 49ers (in Arizona)

Time: 8:15 PM EST

Line: SF -1.5; O/U 47.5

Must Starts 🏁

QB — Josh Allen

RB — Raheem Mostert

WR — Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Stefon Diggs

TE — None

Start or Sit 📝

Jordan Reed

The 49ers utilize their tight ends better than almost every team in the NFL. However, given the matchup and the return on Brandon Aiyuk, I believe Reed will struggle to get the target share he needs to be a valuable fantasy piece.

Zach Moss

It’s pretty clear at this point that Moss is the top back in Buffalo. I would start Moss in most leagues at the flex spot and expect him to have a decent game on Monday.

Props 🎲

  • Jordan Reed under 34.5 receiving yards
  • Devin Singletary under 36.5 rushing yards
  • Zack Moss over 34.5 rushing yards
  • Cole Beasley over 54.5 receiving yards
  • 49ers win by 1–3, 4–6

Gambling Angle 💰

The key to this game is the 49ers rushing attack. The Bills have allowed a ton of explosive rushing plays this season (43–4th most in NFL) and Kyle Shanahan’s offense thrives on explosive rushes. Nick Mullens isn’t great, but if the rushing game is going he can be effective. The 49ers are trending upwards and getting healthy at just the right time.

If the SF defense can contain Josh Allen in the pocket, which is an issue for them, then I believe the 49ers should win the game.

Prediction: 49ers 27 — Bills 23
