Welcome to the Big Board Showdown! Seven Rounds. One Champion. This is where the NFL Draft meets Fantasy Football!

In case you’re not in a league, here’s what you missed out on:

Mr. Irrelevant Is Crowned 👑

Our Big Board Showdown game had one big time scoring wrinkle: the 255th pick and the infamous Mr. Irrevelant was worth 50 Points!

The New York Giants took LB Tae Crowder from Georgia with the last pick of the NFL Draft and exactly ….. ZERO players chose him across all Champions Round leagues. Thanks for letting us down, Gettleman!

Here are some Winners and Losers from Day 3:

Winners 🏆

NFL and NFL Fans: Let’s start with this because it’s the most important thing. The NFL put on one hell of a show for three days, gave us entertainment and hope and raised a lot of money for COVID-19 relief. We mean, A LOT of money. Congrats to everyone involved! We as football fans are thankful.

Baltimore Ravens: The rich get richer. The Ravens did a great job today of adding to a stacked draft class. Watch out for 6th round WR James Proche. Could be a game changer.

Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys absolutely crushed the draft. They got a starting center today in Tyler Biadasz from Wisconsin and good value with Reggie Robinson and Bradlee Anae. Great work from the yacht, Jerry!

Losers 🤡

Green Bay Packers: Perhaps one of the weirdest drafts in recent memory. The Packers were desperate to get a second pass catcher to line up next to DaVante Adams. Instead they got a QB they can’t play for 3 years (who could be good), a bruising RB, and not a single pass catcher at WR or TE. Very puzzling.

Hunter Bryant and Thad Moss: Two of the most talented tight ends in the 2020 NFL Draft went undrafted on Saturday. Yes, it’s sad (especially for those of you who owned them in Champions Round leagues), but at least they’ll have a lot of options in free agency.

Here’s the best and worst Picks of Day 3:

Best

Indianapolis Colts: Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

The Colts waited on Eason and he fell to them in the 4th round. Look, I don’t know if Eason will have a good career or not. But he’s learning behind Philip Rivers in a QB friendly offense and has a great supporting cast and a great coach. This is a great spot for him and potentially great value for Indy.

Worst

New York Giants: Tae Crowder, LB, Georgia

Just kidding. But come on, we wanted some intrigue with Mr. Irrelevant!!! Oh well.

Special Stuff: Best UDFA Signing

Colts sign Georgia kicker, Rodrigo “Hot Rod” Blankenship. Legend.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors League Update 🎗

In case you missed it, Champions Round hosted a special live stream draft event on April 21 to benefit Team Rubicon.

We were joined by NFL stars Tyrann Mathieu and Melvin Gordon, both of whom have Champions Round teams in our #NeighborsHelpingNeighbors League.

Above is the audio version of our live stream draft.

Here are the final standings:

What an incredibly close finish. Judge Jeudys (run by part of the Champions Round squad, Blake Brandon) came through with the big win in a tight race that literally came down to the last pick.
